Final Major Project Brief and Timetable

This brief was written and submitted during February 2020.  Sadly events have overtaken us all and, following the spread of coronavirus, all universities were ordered to close on Friday 20th March and the country went into lockdown on Tuesday 23rd March.  Consequently, while much of the brief will be followed, there will be elements which will change substantially.  I will indicate in subsequent posts where necessary changes have been made.

Note: I had already started work on both practice and research elements of the Media, Materials Research element of the FMP brief which I have been documenting in my practice and research sketchbooks.  I intend to upload this onto this blog, but please note that the dates on which the information is uploaded does not directly correspond to the dates on which the work was carried out.  I will, however, endeavour to add the information chronologically.

Again, the timetable I was working to, the workshop bookings I had made and the gallery visits I had planned have subsequently been subject to change following the closure of the university buildings and social distancing / lockdown measure implemented by the government.  I intend to work as closely as I can to my planned timetable, but I will indicate where changes have necessarily been made.
