Detail added to fingers

Embroidery thread added from finger tips - single strands stitched through individual pin holes connecting the images together.  Strands are knotted at the back of each piece to fix in place.

I wanted to further experiment with using embroidery thread together with a pin pricked image and wondered if it could be used to join two different images in order to create a connection between the two.  I left the thread unstiffened and cut it into individual strands each of a slightly different length so that they would hand separately and loosely.  Each strand was knotted on the reverse of both images to link them.  As more strands were added they became tangled, twisting around each other, but retaining their individuality at the fingertips of each image.

I think this has worked well and I would like to create other, more detailed pieces, perhaps with the threads joining different points on each image and perhaps also using multiple images connected together.
